Ladies in lavender Cover Image DVD DVD

Ladies in lavender [videorecording] / written and directed by Charles Dance.

Summary:

Two sisters find their lives changed after helping a mysterious young man who drifted ashore badly injured.
The peaceful life of two aging sisters in pre-war Britain is shattered when they take in a young Polish violinist, Andrea, who they find injured after having been washed ashore near their coastal English home. Nursing Andrea back to health appeals to Janet's more maternal instincts, but for Ursula the young man's presence evokes an indefinable longing for a life not lived. Their town is suspicious of any visitors and things get worse when he befriends a Russian woman who is visiting the town.
