The Cat / Edeet Ravel.
Elise is a single mother, and her world revolves around her eleven-year-old son. But when he is killed in a car accident, her world collapses. Alone in her house, feeling suffocated by the memories all around her, Elise looks at a future that is unspeakably bleak and meaningless. All she can think about is joining her son. But there is one thing she must do first: she must stay alive until she can find someone who will look after her son's beloved cat. And as her relationship with this animal develops, Elise is able to find the courage to move forward.
